Pretty uninspiring out there this morning — the whole NC coast is sitting at 1-star with a weak ESE/E groundswell pushing waist-high or less at most spots. Avon Pier and Carolina Beach have the most size at 3-4ft faces, but short 7-8 second periods and onshore to cross-onshore winds are keeping quality low across the board. Conditions hold steady through the next couple days, so don't expect any dramatic improvement — if you're itching to get wet, Atlantic Beach or Emerald Isle at least have cleaner cross winds to work with.
